Week 4 Sport Roundup...

There were some difficult midweek cup matches for our 1^st XI hockey and Boys’ U15A Rugby and Hockey teams, whilst Saturday saw both our boys’ hockey and girls’ netball teams in action versus Blundell’s. There were excellent victories for the U14A and U15B hockey teams with Sebby, Oliver, Marley and George being named players of the match respectively. Both the 1^st and 2^nd XI drew after two very entertaining and competitive matches with Max and Dan voted as players of the match. Special mentions also go to Levi, Buster and Jacob for their excellent performances in their respective matches.

For the netballers, a tough block fixture saw impressive victories for the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th teams with Sophie, Emma, Lilah, Ellie and Evie all producing excellent performances. The U14As had a very pleasing performance and result as they won 21-18 with Kitty and Tilly being named players of the match. There were also notable performances from Ella, Leggy, Aurelia and Eva.

Finally, very well done Samuel and Matilda who ran for Somerset at the South West Schools’ Cross-Country Championships. Both performed very well as they finished as the 8^th best runners for Somerset. They now eagerly await selection for the National Schools’ Championships with both of them in with a shot of being selected.
