We are seeking an Estates Team Member to assist in the busy maintenance team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of practical competence and understanding. In addition, applicants should be effective team players, professional in their approach and display a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. Driving licence required.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is also a requirement to be on-call for one full week (including weekends) on a rota basis (for which an additional flat rate payment is made).

We are looking to recruit an experienced “can do” Grounds Person here at King's School.
Reporting to the Foundation Director of Grounds, you will be joining a hardworking and happy team who always strive to deliver the best. This is a varied role, where you will carry out routine maintenance of all school grounds including maintenance of all sports pitches, general upkeep of sports equipment and maintenance of equipment and assisting the Director of Grounds as required.
You will have experience in general grounds work and hold the appropriate qualifications or have had training in gardening and grounds work. To succeed in this role, you will be expected to be flexible with excellent communication skills.
Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is full time position, working 40 hours per week with a rota to work weekends during the Summer Term.
This role will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic, inspirational and committed Housemaster/ Housemistress (HsM) to lead New House, a very successful day and boarding house for boys. The HsM will provide a positive, family orientated atmosphere in the boarding house, and look to provide pupils with the support and encouragement they require to thrive both at King’s and beyond. The HsM will be a key role model for our boys and should inspire them to achieve in all areas of school life. The HsM will be expected to lead a team of academic and resident Tutors who aim to deliver exceptional pastoral care and academic support to the boys in the boarding house.
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, well organised, dynamic and caring person, with a strong background in providing pastoral support. They will be looking to utilise the experience they have developed to help further strengthen the outstanding pastoral care provided to all pupils at King’s.
Strong administrative and communication skills will be required to lead and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the House, and the HsM will be expected to commit to the ethos of a full boarding school by contributing to the extra-curricular programme, supporting school events, and playing a key role in a very vibrant and supportive community.
All HsMs at King’s teach a reduced timetable, and for this position all subjects will be considered.
This is a residential role with rent-free family accommodation provided on site. For New House, the HsM accommodation is next to, but not adjoined to, the boarding house with two Resident Tutors accommodated within the boarding house.
The primary responsibility of the HsM is to maintain the highest standards of Safeguarding and Child Protection for the students, both in their house and across the wider school, whilst fostering and promoting the welfare of pupils.
