A great A Level Teatime Concert...

On Thursday afternoon, Lily and Louis performed their A Level Music performance recital within an afternoon concert setting. It is a good opportunity for them to experience playing under the pressure of an audience and camera!

Lily opened the recital with Samuel Barber’s Sure on this shining night, followed with Gluck’s O del mio dolce ardor, Britten’s That Yongë Child from Ceremony of Carols, and finally Cole Porter’s So in love. Lily performed confidently, with emotion and attention to detail. Louis played three contrasting pieces of the drum kit Fire by Hendrix, War Pigs by Black Sabbath and Bonfire by Knife Party. Louis treated the audience to complex cross rhythms and different genres and gave exciting performances enjoyed by the audience.

Well done to Lily and Louis and good luck to them both in their final preparations for recording their A Level Music performance component.
