A new look for the refurbished 6th Form Club...
On Saturday night, the newly refurbished 6th Form Club was re-opened by the Headmaster with the Sixth Form pupils enjoying a Carnival Themed evening to celebrate. Rev'd Beverly and Mrs Simper, Deputy Head, Pastoral, had a conversation back in September on a Saturday night when they were on duty in the 6th Form Club and said what an asset the Club is to King’s Bruton but it was needing a new lease of life.
Rev'd Beverly came up with a very detailed proposal and the Friends of King's Bruton very kindly said they would pay for the refurbishment. With the help of Winnie and Sebastian, the 6th Form Prefects, we chose the colour scheme, and our fantastic Maintenance Team painted the walls and woodwork. They also made a new bar for us. Rev'd Beverly sourced lights and additions to the sound system, and spent a day over half-term putting all of these up. The result is now a very colourful, modern and welcoming Club which the pupils already love.
A huge thank you to the Maintenance Team, Winnie, Sebastian and Rev'd Beverly for all their help and support.
Emily Simper - Deputy Head, Pastoral
