Over one hundred and twenty of our 6th Form attended a wonderful formal dinner in the Memorial Hall on Saturday evening.
The Memorial Hall looked enchanting, dripping with fairy lights and atmosphere. The Alice in Wonderland theme was effective and executed with great style by our imaginative pupils. Taya and Emily really drove the presentation of the venue and worked tirelessly to ensure that it looked amazing with great attention to detail.
The pupils really lived up to the occasion, they had been briefed about formal dinner etiquette and all looked stunning in their black tie, evening dress. It was a special sight to see as they arrived across the Prefect’s Lawn full of anticipation for an enjoyable evening. Our kitchen staff did a great job with the dinner; starting with ‘Mock Turtle’ soup, followed by ‘Pig and Pepper’ and finishing with a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ for dessert. The food looked stunning and was incredibly tasty too. A number of staff volunteered to be waiters for the evening and performed a slick operation on the night.
The pupils had a fantastic evening, they returned to their boarding houses full of conversation about the event and are still talking about it now! Photos from the evening can be viewed below.
