2024 marked another year of successful progression onto Higher Education and career pathways for King's pupils...

Indeed, the pathways being followed are more diverse than ever before, reflecting the desire for pupils to find their best fit destinations and routes.

Particular highlights include Joe and Matilda gaining places at University of British Columbia in Canada, soon to be followed by Georgia heading on her sports scholarship to Fairfield University, USA. Meanwhile, Issy and Ellie both head to prestigious degree apprenticeships with TLT, Bristol, and Cushman Wakefield, London, respectively. Both Issy and Ellie went through multiple rounds of interviews and assessments to secure their highly-sought after places.

Closer to home, the UK picture remains strong with nearly all pupils accessing their first choice universities, whether that be top-ranked establishments, such as UCL and Edinburgh, or more suitable career-focussed courses at innovative institutions, such as UA92 in Manchester. Pupils have been bold and open minded in their choices and it has shown in their destinations.

Other leavers are now applying to UK and Australian universities, and we wish them well in their post-A Level applications.

Our congratulations to all 2024 leavers and very best wishes in the next steps.

Will Daws - Deputy Head, Sixth Form
