Our Royal Navy CCF Cadets took part in the annual HMS Raleigh base visit.
Cadets were selected based on their exceptional demonstration of the C2DRILL core values of the Navy in Friday afternoon CCF sessions. We arrived on base where we were briefed on the activities and the cadets were clearly apprehensive about what lay ahead. However, they awoke at 0600 sharp, and dressed in full RN uniform, marched into the day demonstrating courage. We were teamed up with a local Plymouth school, which encouraged the cadets to operate outside their comfort zone where they demonstrated respect for their peers, working together to save the sinking ship and put out fires. By the end of the trip, the cadets were clearly much more confident and enthusiastic having developed resilience in adverse conditions. A successful trip to HMS Raleigh.
