I am extremely grateful to our staff for their effort, commitment and levels of expertise which allow events like the Biennial Inspection to be so successful, which it certainly was. So many people played a part in making the day run smoothly and portrayed King’s in its finest.
The Inspection at its heart is to see if the Cadets are enjoying their CCF experience, learning and developing as young adults, and to see if they are taught the values of the Cadet Force. I certainly feel that Brigadier Gary McDade, and other visiting officers from the Royal Navy and Army, were very impressed with the standards we set at King’s.
The cadets excelled in many areas and should be very proud of their high standards in CCF, Music and Hospitality. During the afternoon, Brigadier McDade saw the Army Sections undertake a section attack and snap ambush (5th Form Advanced Infantry) and the 4th Form Army Recruits conducted a Paintball Patrol, set up a harbour area and cooked in the field.
The RN Section were able to show their VHF Communications and Navigational skills and also their Communications through flags. The Cadets were able to show Brigadier McDade what they had learnt and the NCOs were able to demonstrate their leadership and teaching skills.
Brigadier Gary McDade had a fantastic day, was very impressed with the NCOs, Cadets and through it I am ever hopeful that our cadets may have an even better CCF experience in the future. Well done to one and all.
