Netball: Girls' Pre-Season Training for selected pupils at King's, finishes 5:00pm
The Royal Navy CCF Cadets had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a new session that was introduced this year - a SCUBA try dive at the Hazlegrove pool. We had a huge turn out of keen Cadets excited to try out SCUBA, many, for the first time. It was clear to see in the pool that for some, the reality of what they had signed up for was dawning on them as they donned the heavy kit and hesitantly prepared to take their first unnatural breaths underwater. To their credit, even the most terrified cadets took to it like... Royal Navy Cadets! It was an incredibly rewarding session to run as I saw so many shining examples of resilience and determination. Hopefully, like me, they will remember their first try dive for the rest of their lives.
