Equestrian

Another successful day in the equestrian world! The 90cm team won the county championship, with Emily winning the class as an individual, Anna coming 7th and Anouska 8th. Lilah was the 4th member of the team finishing 16th. We also had Anna and Marcia riding as individuals who finished 19th and 22nd

In the 1m class we had 2 teams and finished 1st and 2nd in the county! The teams were Emily, Lilah, Anouska and Anna, who also finished 3rd as an individual, and Marcia was joined by Anna and Emily on their second ponies, for the second team.

Emily also came 2nd and 4th in the 110 class.

The teams that finished 1st qualify for the National Finals at Hickstead at the end of August.

Tennis

Senior Boys vs Taunton School

A close contest in the boys matches, particularly in the 1st team. Freddie and Tom put on a masterclass display in consistency against the 2nd pair oppositions, and they took the match 6-4 with one break of serve.

Senior Girls vs Taunton School/Kings College Taunton (Triangle fixture):

1st King's Bruton - 27 sets

2nd Taunton School - 20 sets

3rd Kings College Taunton - 17 sets

This weekend the senior girls took part in a triangle fixture against Taunton School and King's Taunton. It was a fantastic weekend of tennis, they won the overall match by 27 sets.

Well done to Poppy and Jasmine for winning all their matches. The 3rd team also winning comfortably, well done to Amy, Juliette, Imogen, Isabella, Lottie and Lena on a lovely display of tennis.

Junior Girls vs Taunton:

A tricky contest over the weekend for the junior girls against some consistent oppositions. Well done to Ruby and Olivia for fighting hard in every match and doing their best to chase down every ball, no matter what the score line.

Well done to Millie and Ellie in the U14A on some excellent placement when serving.

Athletics

The juniors went to County Championships at Yeovil for pupils in Year 8 and 9. We took a small team but had some pleasing results.

Benji came first in his hurdles race as did Emily, both becoming County Champions.

Emily also won her long jump with a personal best of 4.59, so is a Double County Champion.

Henry ran a fantastic 800m to finish 2nd. Harriet and Minty both ran in the girls 800m, running personal bests and finishing 4th and 7th.

Toby threw very well in the discus to finish as Reserve County Champion.

Alex ran in the 200m and finished 6th.
