Wellbeing Life at King's

As part of the 5th Form Enrichment Programme, Mrs Vigers-Belgeonne and I took a group of 5th Formers on a lovely morning walk.

Having been dropped off on the Stourhead Estate (Thank you to Miss Moran) at 9.15am, we traversed seven miles of beautiful Somerset countryside (and a little bit of Wiltshire). We took in St Peter's Pump followed by King Alfred’s Tower, and then we wandered through the woods of the estate to join up with the Leland Trail. Once on the trail, we walked past a house with some stunning garden artworks, saw a lot of cows, and a muntjac deer which was fleeting in its escape from our footfall. This was all crowned by a vista of buzzards, at least 10 of them, wheeling and swooping in the fields not far from the School, this was just before we descended and took in the Dovecote as we worked our way back to school.

A wonderful time had by all.
