The U6th Form BTEC Hospitality pupils enjoyed a wonderful Cocktail Masterclass at Roth Bar on Friday afternoon.
As part of their diverse BTEC studies, they are required identify the key features of four different cocktails made by different methods- shaking, blending and building.
Sean, the Bar Manager, expertly demonstrated and then allowed the students to make Mojitos, Expresso Martini’s and Margarita’s. For a non-alcoholic option they made some absolutely gorgeous Homemade Lemonade.
The skills learnt during afternoon will be put into practice next week when the students serve cocktails to the delegates and parents attending the L6th Form Careers Convention.
Life is certainly never dull in the Hospitality Department, and my thanks go to Sean and Jules at the Roth Bar for a brilliant educational experience.
