It is wonderful to see Old Brutonian, Sophie Hamilton, be selected to represent Great Britain in hockey at the Paris Olympics. Sophie has gone on to do fantastic things since leaving King’s, not only for her club, Surbiton HC, but also with England and Great Britain. Having won a Commonwealth Games Gold medal with England, Sophie can now look forward to competing in an Olympic Games, which is an incredible achievement, and we are all really proud of her.

Sophie was always destined for great things on the hockey pitch, and it is a true credit to her talent, hard work and dedication that she will now get the opportunity to compete for International Hockey’s biggest prize. Everyone in the King’s Bruton community wishes her and her team the best of luck in Paris.
