King's Bruton U16 girls have retained their Somerset County Hockey title.

Following the U16 Girls' victory in the Round Robin tournament held at Millfield School King's Bruton has retained their Somerset County Hockey Title. In doing so, the team went unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all five of their games, scoring 27 goals without conceding any. In their first match, King's Bruton beat Wellington 8-0 which was followed by 3-0 victories against both Queen's College and Millfield. In their final two matches, the side from Bruton defeated King's College and Taunton School 4-0 and 9-0 respectively. Henry Eriksson, Director of Hockey commented, "I am very proud of the way the whole squad performed. To score as many goals as they did in shortened matches and without conceding a goal, is very impressive and is testament to the hard work the girls have put in so far this season. It is now important to keep training hard in order to prepare for the challenges to come." King's Bruton can now look forward to the Regional Preliminary round and hopefully the Regional Finals, where they will aim to retain their West of England title and qualify for the National Finals.
