A fantastic evening of music at the Spring Concert...

The Spring Concert was held in the Hauser & Wirth Recital Hall. It was a varied programme that marked the end of an exceptionally busy and successful Easter Term 2024. The Military Band opened the concert with two pieces prepared initially for the Community Concert earlier in the term. This was followed with a heartful performance given by the orchestra of Nocturne arr. Meyer. A Vocal Trio consisting of Jenna, Lily and Sebastian performed Soave sia il vento by Mozart, and it was lovely to feature a smaller choral group within the programme.

There were also impressive performances from the Cello Ensemble, School Choir, Piano Trio, Chapel Choir, String Ensemble and Chamber Choir which included an arrangement by Bob Chilcott of Be thou my vision featuring Jenna as the soprano soloist. The concert concluded with the Big Band performing Sway arr. Payner with soloist Xander, and Runaway Baby arr. Murtha.

It really was a super evening preceded with drinks for guests served by the BTEC Hospitality team overseen by Mrs McMunn. Well done and congratulations to all the musicians involved on a fantastic evening of music enjoyed by all present.
