There was some excellent sport played last week...

Congratulations must go to the 1st XI and U15A hockey teams who progressed in their respective ISHC competitions. The 1st XI defeated Canford on penalty strokes to set up a Cup Quarter Final versus Whitgift or Rugby School, which is an excellent achievement. The U15As also won on penalties, defeating Dauntsey’s to see themselves through to the last 16 of the plate.

On Saturday, there were five victories versus Clayesmore, with all of the senior teams and the U15Bs securing comfortable wins. There were man of the match performances from Mats, Max, Felix, Jamie, George and Oliver.

The cross-country runners enjoyed their Sherborne meet with Samuel winning his race and the Senior Girls producing an excellent team performance. A special mention also goes to Hector for running well in his first race of the season.

Finally, the netball teams had one of their toughest block fixtures of the season versus Kingswood School. There were pleasing victories for the 4th, 5th and 6th teams, who all continue their excellent season. There were notable performances from Jenna, Emma and Ellie, whilst Ellie, Grace, Freya, Hermione and Phoebe all produced player of the match performances. Despite some good performances on the junior side, where we competed well, the performances weren’t quite reflected in the scorelines. Notable performances came from Lily, Aurelia, Boo, Rose, Morgan and Iona.
