Girls’ Cricket makes King’s history!...
On Thursday afternoon, the Girls’ 1st XI Cricket made King’s history by being the first Girls’ 1st XI to play in the National Schools T20 Competition, when they hosted Wellington School. This follows on from the Girls' U15s competing in the National Schools T20 against Millfield School a fortnight ago. Having lost the toss, King’s would bat first with Georgia and Ella putting on a 40 run partnership for the first wicket, with Georgia scoring a well worked 54. King’s posted 112-2 off their allocated 20 overs. Some tight bowling and excellent fielding in the second innings would lead to a tight finish with Wellington creeping over the line with four overs to spare. A great opportunity for our Girls to play at the highest level of school cricket, and we now look forward to our next National Plate fixture.
