A memorable Community Concert & Tea...
On Friday afternoon, we welcomed guests from Candlelight Care, Active Living, Highfield House, Bruton Community and the Old Brutonian Association to the annual Community Concert and Afternoon Tea in the Memorial Hall. The Hall was packed and buzzing with anticipation, the Military Band were on fine form as we were treated to a varied musical Programme from ‘The British Invasion – Hits of the 60s’ and ‘The Great Escape’ to ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and many more. During the interval, BTEC Hospitality pupils served an afternoon tea, which they had prepared, worthy of The Ritz, spoiling the guests with miniature sandwiches, scones and a fine array of mini cakes.
We have had some lovely thank you’s:
“Thankyou for the lovely afternoon yesterday, we all so enjoyed it, the afternoon goes so quickly. Please would you pass on our thanks and congratulations to everyone who took part in making a wonderful afternoon.”
“I cannot thank you enough for organising such a wonderful afternoon, and for inviting us along as well! Everyone from Candlelight Community loved every moment, in fact we were totally spoilt!... no-one does it better than King’s Bruton!”
“I want to thank all those involved with the Community Party on Friday afternoon. The tea was delicious, the pupils could not have been more friendly and helpful and produced delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes, all beautifully presented. The band was, as always, first-rate. A memorable occasion indeed!”
