The boys’ hockey season got off to a flying start with numerous cup matches and a block fixture with Prior Park...

The 1st XI had two cup matches in the week and enjoyed two exciting encounters. Having been both 3-0 and 4-1 down versus Clayesmore, they showed great fighting spirit to draw 4-4 before winning on sudden death shuffles with player of the match Oskar scoring the winning penalty. Equally, versus Warminster in the ISHC, the team was down 2-0 at half time before a superb second half performance saw them win 4-2 with Ben  being named player of the match.

The U15s also enjoyed a penalty shootout victory as they progressed to R2 of the ISHC. Having drawn 1-1 in normal time, some penalty save heroics from Buster saw King’s win, with player of the match, Freddie, producing an excellent performance.

In the very competitive block with Prior Park, results were as follows:

1st XI Won 1-0, Player of the Match: Jack
2nd XI Drew 0-0, Player of the Match: Jay
3rd XI Won 5-1, Player of the Match: Ollie
U15A Lost 3-1, Player of the Match: Harry
U15B Lost 2-1, Player of the Match: George
U14A Won 5-0, Player of the Match: Milo
U14B Lost 2-1, Player of the Match: Leo
