Senior boy’s vs Sherborne: Lost 18-8
In the final match of the season King's started slowly against an attacking opposition. With frequent unforced errors King's found themselves trailing at the halfway stage. King's managed to find some consistency as the day went on and won 6/8 legs in the second half of the game. Johnny, Tyler, Siru and Frank all began to find their form in the last two matches. The results have not gone in King's favour. However, through facing experienced oppositions, it has encouraged and assisted in the development and improvement of all our players.

Hockey
There was further hockey success last week as the U16 girls won the Regional Indoor competition after a fantastic day’s play. They won their group having defeated Cheltenham College 3-0, Exeter School 9-1 and Bristol Grammar School 4-2 with the whole squad making a great contribution. In the semi-final, King's controlled the game as they beat Clifton College 2-0 to set up a final with Dean Close who had been dominant in their matches all day. However, Dean Close found themselves up against stiff opposition as King's won the game 5-2 to deservedly win the Tournament and qualify for the National Finals in January, which is a wonderful achievement. A big well done to the whole squad.

Football 1st XI vs Downside
The first half was an even affair with King's direct passing game contrasted by a counter-attacking style preferred by the Downside team. On a breakaway Downside scored the opener but a change at the break saw Tom enter the fray and quickly he made a difference. King's piled on the pressure and Tom scored with an excellent finish from the right edge of the penalty area.
Despite dominating possession and pitch position we still had to be wary on the counter and so it transpired as they had a couple of quick attacks and took the lead again. Not a problem though as Tom went straight up the other end and scored with a very similar goal to his first within a minute of the restart. King's had the best of the game for the rest of the half and a penalty appeal fell on deaf ears until, at the death, Downside, with their first real attack for a long time, drew an outstanding double save from Sam in goal to keep the game level to the end.
