Tennis

Senior Boy’s vs King's Taunton:

1^st Team Lost 5-4

2^nd Team Won 6-3

A great opening fixture of the season. Playing in tricky conditions, the 1^st Team managed to pull it back to 4-4 with Tom and Oscar playing the deciding match. Unfortunately, they came up short, and lost 6-3 in the deciding set.

The pair of the match must go to Oliver and Archie. They had a fantastic final match against the strong 1^st pair oppositions. After being 5-3 (15-40) down on serve, they saved two match points and won the match 6-5.

Junior Girl’s vs Taunton School:

U15A Won 5-4

U15B Lost 7-2

U14A Lost 5-4

U14B Lost 7-2

A massive win for the U15A’s against the consistent Taunton team. Lilah and Victoire played some sensible tennis in the wind, they won all three matches and beat the 1^st pair of Taunton 6-4.

Clara and Erica also won all their games. They had a 6-4, 6-3 and 6-0 win. Both players communicated well and limited the number of unforced errors they hit.

Matilda and Sophie worked well together and had some thoroughly deserved wins. They had a tight last match against the 1^st pair, and with some mistakes at crucial moments, they eventually lost 6-5 in a very close contest.

Senior Girl’s vs Taunton:

1^st Team Lost 8-1

2^nd Team Lost 6-3

3^rd Team Won 5-4

4^th team Lost 8-1

A hard opening fixture for the senior girls. They were also up against Taunton who showed high levels of assertiveness and powerful serving. Sophia and Emily won 2 of their 3 matches.

It was Lottie and Luli’s first time playing together. They had an epic opening match, eventually winning 7-6. They took this confidence on to the next match, and with some great serving, they won with ease, just losing the one game.

Cricket

1^st XI vs Local Club Side

The 1^st Team won by 100 runs, Jay 53 and Darius 52. All the bowlers contributed with impressive spells and it proved a great start to the cricket term, with lots of exciting cricket being played.
