Cricketing success for King's Bruton 4th Form pupil, Ronnie, who is off on a cricket tour in Sri Lanka over the half-term...

My name is Ronnie, I am a King’s Bruton pupil and I am going to Sri Lanka this half-term to play cricket for Somerset CC. I have always loved cricket as it has always been a part of my life. Some of my cricketing heroes include Jos Buttler and Joe Root as they have accomplished so many thing already in their careers. It is a privilege to play for Somerset Pathway as it always tests my abilities as a player. I was thrilled when I was chosen to go on tour, and I hope it will be a tour to remember. I am looking forward to playing and travelling in Sri Lanka. I play a lot of cricket at King’s Bruton, and have one on one cricket lessons with Mark Davis at least once a week.

We are delighted for Ronnie’s success with his cricket. He has worked hard with Mark Davies, our cricket professional, throughout his time here, improving every day. Somerset County Cricket Club are extremely lucky to have a very talented leg spin batsmen in Ronnie. I want to wish Ronnie all the best in Sri Lanka, and we, as a school, can't wait to hear all about it.
