The 1st Team were missing several key players, which unsettled the girls in this match. After putting themselves under a lot of pressure with a slow first quarter they worked hard to reduce the gap, with lots of critical position changes and players very much out of position they fought back to draw 27-27. Player of the Match was Kitty.
The 2nd Team played exceptionally well against a very young Queen's side. After a slow few opening minutes, they took control to run away with the game, winning by an impressive 44-10. Players of the Match were Liv and Pheobe.
The 3rd Team also played very well, with some fantastic attacking play. They won 29-19. Player of the Match was Grace.
The Juniors traveller away to Taunton. The U15 had several players out at cross country, but played very well to win 37-10. Player of the Match was Emma, for shooting exceptionally well. The B Team performed very well as a team winning 24-3, with Maisy being Player of the Match.
The U14 had a slightly frustrating game. With a key player missing, they found it hard to defend and struggled to maintain their technique under pressure. They lost 7-13 in a very low scoring game, with Abi Player of the Match. The B Team performed very well, winning 25-1 with both Olivia and Gracie getting Player of the Match.

King's Bruton, Downside School, Milton Abbey and Queen's College Taunton.
1st Team lost 26-12.
This was King's Bruton’s first ever table tennis fixture against a consistent Downside team, which includes some players who regularly compete in local competitions. In the singles, Harry and Dimitri showed a lovely display of forehand and backhand drives, they managed to win 2 rubbers each for the team. The first King's doubles pairing of Jonny and Phillip had a very close match against the first pair oppositions, they eventually lost 2-1 in a match that had a huge variety of shot making.
Overall, a great match, which was played with great spirit and a positive attitude from all pupils.
