King's is so proud of our Business Studies & Economics Teacher, Heidi Bell-West, who won Gold medals at the swimming Masters National Championships...

Heidi Bell-West is our Business Studies & Economics teacher, and she is also the King's Bruton Swimming Coach. We asked Heidi to tell us about the competition.

I raced in the Masters National Championships over the final weekend of half-term. I competed in 9 separate events across 2 days in my age group category (50-54yrs). It has been over 2 years since I last raced, so I was pleased to gain:

• Gold in the 50M Breaststroke
• Gold in the 4x200m Freestyle
• Bronze in the 50M Backstroke
• Bronze in the 100M Individual Medley

I am now just waiting to find out my FINA World ranking position and European chances. Later this term, I will be competing for Somerset at the Inter-Counties at Millfield.
