A round up of the first half of term...

It has been fantastic to be able to resume some form of “normality” with the return of inter-school fixtures this term. As well as this, the level of participation, and seeing pupils out on the pitches enjoying sport and physical activity together again, has been so refreshing. I am hugely grateful to all the pupils and staff alike for their continued good humour, dedication and enthusiasm in what has been a pressurised term.

The term has not been without its challenges with the weather causing havoc and disrupting numerous games sessions, however, I cannot fault the adaptability of the pupils who consistently continued to engage in the sports programme despite the disappointments that arose as a result of amended sessions or cancelled fixtures. This said, we are delighted that pupils have finally had opportunities to compete for the School again in cricket, tennis, athletics and even hockey, rugby and netball.

Having had a taste of school sport operating closer to how we would like, I am hugely excited and optimistic for sport again in September.
