The Sixth Form Concert gave an important opportunity to showcase some of our senior musicians at King’s and the event certainly did not disappoint!
It was super to have such a wide variety of genres covered from Baroque incidental music in Rory's performance of Purcell’s Music for a While to Toby’s performance of the Mumford and Sons song Little Lion Man and Matilda’s musical theatre performance of Being Alive from the musical ‘Company’ and everything else in between! It was also good to be able to showcase one of the Sixth Form group ensembles in the form of the Trumpet Consort.
All performers gave assured and confident performances. It was wonderful to hear and perform live music once again in The Hauser & Wirth Recital Hall for the first time since the Christmas Term. It was really unfortunate that due to technical problems, some performances were sadly not live-streamed. However, we have re-recorded these performances, and the video below is a compilation of livestream and re-recorded performances, plus photographs from the evening.
Well done and congratulations to all pupils involved!
