On Monday afternoon, as part of the Sixth Form Enrichment Program, we virtually welcomed back three Old Brutonian’s to King’s.

Abs Hyde (2018, Arion House), Clara Bracey (2019, Priory House) and Harry Macleod-Ash (2019, New House) spoke to the Sixth Form about their gap year experiences after leaving King’s. Current pupil, Oliver, (U6th, Old House), interviewed the OBs; the pupils gained an understanding about the different options available to them beyond their studies at King’s.

Abs spent time working at Sherborne Prep School on her gap year, whilst finding time to travel around Europe during the school holidays too. Harry spent time working in the UK before enjoying some time on the slopes for a ski-season where he cooked and cleaned in a chalet for several months. Finally, whilst Clara is currently an Au Pair in Italy, she spent time on her gap year working at the Shining Faces Orphanage in India, as well as travelling around Sri Lanka, Australia and Vietnam with fellow OB and Head of School, Luke Tuckfield (2019, Blackford House).

It was a fascinating to hear about the different options that are available to our pupils and great to see some familiar faces too.
