Brass & Percussion Concert Proves To Be A "Noisy" But Fantastic Evening

Music Concert

The Brass and Percussion Concert was as expected a “noisy” but fantastic evening, writes David Gorodi, Director of Music.

The percussion ensemble were on great form, I really enjoyed their “Return of the Buckets”. Other highlights for me were Herbie & David's duet, these young drummers are going to be great! Oscar and Tom performed a duet with the marimba and hung drum, a new instrument from Switzerland. George, Joseph and Emma were all in fine form, the Funk piece they played was excellent and all of them also played their solo pieces incredibly well. In George’s case perhaps the best I’ve heard from him! A very good debut for Tom and some excellent legato phrasing from Adam capped off the evening. My congratulations to all involved; an album from the evening can be viewed below and a selection of audio recordings can also be played below.
