Swing into Spring was a magical evening...
Last Saturday evening at Swing into Spring, we were transported to the King’s Jazz Club for the evening. The Groove Ensemble, solo lounge singers and the King’s Big Band treated us to a musical feast through the jazz ages to modern day. The dance floor was packed, and shouts of encore led to one last dance number before the evening came to an end. The BTEC Hospitality pupils provided the service, with just the right balance of nothing was too much trouble and letting the evening flow. Thank you to Oliver Higgs and all the musicians for their hard work, not only on the evening, but in the run up to ensure a fun evening was had by all - the standard was superb. Thank you to Emily McMunn and the BTEC Hospitality team for their passion and commitment - it does not go unnoticed and we had some lovely ‘thankyou’s’. The teamwork at King’s is what make the King’s events so magical!
Some comments from parents:
“…. I just wanted to say what a completely fabulous evening last night was. The combination of the BTEC Hospitality pupils serving and clearing, and the musical superstars entertaining was simply magic. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and were really taken with how the children, parents and teachers all interacted and had a lot of fun together…. What an experience for the pupils playing to be able to perform in that setting. Something they will rightly feel very proud of. Please pass on our thanks for a very impressive and fun evening”
“Great do last night! We loved it!”
