Two King's Bruton U6th Form pupils have recorded, produced and released an album...
Over the past few months, Alex and Amelia have been working hard to record and produce an album of music featuring original compositions and cover songs by various artists. They have worked exceptionally hard on the project and several of the songs on the album feature other King’s musicians. It is an exciting moment, as this will be the first pupil-produced studio album and the first available on Apple Music and Spotify! Well done and congratulations to all involved in the project, but particularly Alex and Amelia who have masterminded the project.
Ashley Marshfield - Director of Music
"I’ve so enjoyed putting this album together! It’s a mixture of folk and pop, with 2 original songs, 4 cover songs and 4 traditional folk songs, and it features some incredibly talented musicians from the King’s community. It’s been such a pleasure working with everyone on ‘Amie Wren’, and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved."
Amelia - U6th Form, Priory House
(Going to Berklee College of Music, Boston USA to study Music Composition)
"I've sunk a lot of time into the project I'm incredibly happy with how our debut album turned out, especially as it's on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music for people to enjoy. It's been fun to be hands on in a professional environment, whilst simultaneously learning skills I hope to use in a future career in the music industry; I couldn't have asked for a better experience!"
Alex - U6th Form, New House
