A day of activity and navigation on Exmoor...
After all the activities that we have been doing over the course of last year, it was brilliant to actually be able to get out walking in one of our beautiful national parks. 19 pupils and five members of staff headed down to Exmoor to undertake our first training expedition. The sun shone and it was a glorious day. It gave the pupils a golden opportunity to work in their teams and test their fitness and navigational skills. Each pupil had a chance to be the navigator or 2IC and they worked well as a team. The weather helped to keep up morale, and I think that everyone benefitted from being outdoors and exercising. There were some tired pupils on the way back, but they all enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to the next training event on the Quantocks in November.
Well done to everyone involved.
