On Thursday 5th March, the Chapel Choir travelled to Bristol Cathedral to sing a service of Choral Evensong.
It was a return visit for the Chapel Choir having last performed there in the Summer Term 2017. The Chapel Choir were once again warmly welcomed by the Cathedral clergy including the Canon Precentor in charge of Music and Liturgy at Bristol Cathedral. The music for the service included the Smith 5-part Preces and Responses, Psalm 26 to a chant by Parry, Noble’s setting of the Canticles in B minor and the anthem 'Lord, let me know mine end' by Greene.
The Chapel Choir thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous acoustic in the building. Particular thanks and congratulations to Joseph who acted as cantor for the service, including the chanting of four collects for the day! My thanks also to the double duet who performed within the anthem – Imogen, Elizabeth, Emily and Lulu.
It was super to have an Old Brutonian event running ahead of the service and to have parents, OBs and members of the public supporting in the congregation.
Well done to the Chapel Choir on another impressive Choral Evensong.

What a wonderful place to sing! We’re currently in rehearsal at @BristolCathedra getting ready for this evening’s Evensong. We’re hoping to have a great congregation, which will also attended by some @OldBrutonians @KingsBruton pic.twitter.com/hYtXhwP7ed
