The Brass and Percussion Concert is always the loudest concert of the year and last night was no exception - making good use of the acoustic curtains in the Hauser & Wirth Recital Hall!
It was superb to see such talent and a wide variety of genres represented from Duke Ellington’s classic Satin Doll to Fire by Hendrix. There were too many solo performances to highlight as all the pupils played brilliantly. I enjoyed the group items, particularly the Trumpet Consort who had a superb blend and tone. The Concert ended with the combined forces of both the Brass and Percussion Groups with a fun arrangement of Carnival in Paris.
Well done and congratulations to all involved for a fantastic evening.
