A Level Art pupils visited London Galleries for enrichment in preparation for their Exams.

The sixth form have had their examination papers for a month now and are busy providing evidence of ideas, research and critical analysis. They have numerous themes to choose from in the paper and therefore their enquiries are taking them in a wide variety of directions.

Our London trip began at Tate Modern where the group visited the Pierre Bonnard exhibition, exploring his unique colour sense and highly personal approach to subject and composition. Following this, some remained to explore the Tate Collection further whilst others had planned and prepared smaller independent group visits.

The pupils visited diverse galleries and venues including the White Cube, the Royal College of Physicians, The Royal Academy, The V & A, The Natural History Museum, Brick Lane Street Art and Hauser & Wirth London.

The work produced will now be woven into the fabric of the unit enriching it significantly.
