The sun shone, the monkeys played and the big lion roared as the 3rd Form enjoyed their joint Biology and Art excursion to Bristol zoo.
There was plenty to see and do at the zoo as the pupils ventured around the complex filling out their worksheets and recording the animals they saw which were inspiration for their art projects. One of the highlights of the day was the hour long lesson run by one of the zoo staff. The session enabled the pupils to learn more about the animals and their environment. They got up close and personal to snakes, cockroaches and a very cute looking rat. Not to mention the ferret that had managed to soak itself in fairy liquid as it had somehow climbed into a sink! A fabulous trip; plenty of fond memories whilst being very educational for all involved too!
