CCF Outdoors and Adventure

King’s Bruton CCF ended a busy term with some exciting and challenging Field Days in outdoor adventure.

The 5th Form Advanced Infantry visited the beautiful Dorset Coast and Corfe Castle. Rock climbing and abseiling was undertaken at Dancing Ledge on the edge of the crashing sea waves in stunning conditions. The cadets were then taken out of their comfort zone with a high ropes course at Burnbake Camp. All cadets and staff enjoyed the activities and it was a great way to end the term. The 4th Form Royal Navy Section also visited the Dorset Coast and Dancing Ledge but they launched themselves into the sea and had a great time coasteering. Their second activity was paddle boarding further up the coast. Another great way to end the term of Royal Navy training. The 4th Form Army Section went to the Quantocks where they took part in archery, air rifle shooting and team tasks / leadership tasks that challenged them physically and intellectually. All cadets excelled in the activities and a very enjoyable day was had by all. An album of photos from the day can be seen below.
