Lower 6th Chemists spend day in Bristol University laboratories

The L6th Chemists had a fantastic day in the Bristol University teaching laboratories synthesising benzocaine, running their own IR spectrum and chromatogram. In the afternoon the pupils listened to a talk about one of the PhD projects being run at the University. This was followed by a lecture demonstration from Tim Harrison on a variety of chemical reactions.
