Chapel Choir on good form in return to Wells Cathedral

Choir Music

The Chapel Choir’s latest excursion saw their return to Wells Cathedral to sing a service of Choral Evensong. As ever, the Chapel Choir were on good form and sang fantastically well. Music for the service included: Preces and Responses by Richard Shepherd, Canticles in D flat by Sidney Nicholson, the Anthem ‘Christ, whose glory fills the skies’ and the psalmody as set for the day. I particularly enjoyed the sopranos soaring up to a top A flat in the Nunc Dimittis and the basses’ lyrical melody in the Magnificat. It was particularly good to have a large and supportive congregation to appreciate all the hard work that the Chapel Choir put in to preparing the music for the service. Well done to all involved!
