The Leavers' Concert was enjoyed by all...

The Leavers’ Concert was a delightful evening but, as always, tinged with a little sadness as we say goodbye to the young musicians with whom we’ve worked with for last 2-5 years.

It was an impressive programme which included representation from a rich variety of musical genres from popular music to English song and musical theatre. It was also lovely to include a final performance from the Wind Quintet playing All that Jazz and Summer Nights. An assembled Leavers’ Choir concluded the concert with a fun arrangement of Tea for Two.

All the pupils have grown in confidence since many of them performed in the New Musicians’ Concert back in September 2018, and it is incredible to think of what they have achieved since then - including six Grade 8 qualifications between them! They have all supported various ensembles at King’s over the years and we are very grateful for all they have given.

As always this was a night to celebrate these young musicians’ talents, we will miss them terribly and wish them great success and happiness for the future. Our congratulations go to them all on a super evening.
