On Monday 1st March, King’s held its first fully remote Parents’ Meeting.
The evening started with a GCSE Options Presentation, before parents and pupils had the opportunity to discuss both progress and GCSE subject choices with teachers. As the meetings were held online, it was fantastic to be able to welcome parents and guardians from around the world, who, under normal circumstances, would be unable to attend. My thanks to the King’s IT Department for making this possible and to everyone involved in helping to ensure that the event ran smoothly.
It was fantastic to speak to pupils and parents, and to hear how much pupils are looking forward to coming back to school. Whilst this period of school closures and the switch to remote learning has presented many challenges, I have been incredibly impressed by the progress that pupils have made, and I very much look forward to welcoming the majority of pupils back on Monday 8th March.
