3rd Form pupils had great fun at their ceilidh...
Without doubt ceilidh dancing has got to be one of the best ways to get to know each other and the 3rd Form certainly experienced this at their ceilidh. Although they were clearly shy and self-conscious initially, by the end the smiles and laughs showed how much they were enjoying it. They managed to master ‘The Dashing White Sergeant’ and for so many of the boys and girls who had never done it before, they learnt very quickly. The best thing about it is meeting new pupils as you dance around so everyone was mixing, including the wonderful seven Upper Sixth pupils who got involved too and proved to be superb role models to the pupils. The U6th Formers have even requested a 6th Form Ceilidh in the New Year. An enormous thank you to Matt and Flora Rawlingson-Plant who taught the pupils the dance and to Mark Pickthall who took fantastic photos and helped me call out instructions. It was a great success and the pupils loved it.
