This is one of my favourite MFL events as the Head of Department as it shows an impressive array of talents combined with a wide and varied choice of subjects!
Sixth Form pupils read out beautiful poems in their target language. The themes were varied: war, humour, the seasons, love, death, to mention but a few.
It is not an easy task to read in public and after a reticent start the linguists quickly found confidence in their reading. Thank you to all the Sixth Form pupils who contributed to this exciting evening. I hope a few get the poetry bug.
