King’s Bruton 4th Form RN & Army Cadets experienced a day of survival training with ‘Footsteps of Discovery’.

Cadets were shown the principles of survival training which included fire, beacons, makeshift stretchers, life saving knots and rope work, blow-pipe archery and arrow throwing. Cadets were taught knife skills and how to make fire using friction, flint knapping, batteries, torches and wire wool.

The Cadets thoroughly enjoyed the day and gained some valuable life skills.
