Swing Into Spring Was An Excellent Evening Of Music & Dance

Music Friends of King's

Swing into Spring was an excellent evening of music and dance, not to mention the food and wine and the excellent service from the School Prefects.

Starting at 7.30pm, we continued until just before midnight. The evening started with the Senior Jazz Quintet who played for the first 45 minutes or so, they are excellent, mature solos and confident delivery. They were followed by the Temperance 7, a New Orleans style band with tuba and banjo, after about 30 minutes the Junior Jazz Quintet came to the stage, their first big performance, they are simply the best Junior Jazz Quintet we’ve ever had a King’s. At 9.30pm the Big Band took to the stage, with vocalists Joe, Amelia, Katie, Harriet and Violet. Some of the performances were outstanding, it was a great night and a lot of fun.

My congratulations to all involved.
