The 5th Form Concert was a great success, there were some excellent performances.
I thought Aidan's performance of Ireland’s 'Sea Fever' was outstanding, he has such a pure and beautiful voice - a real treat. Julia played 'Celtic Collage No. 5' by Degg, this is a great piece with Celtic inflections which Julia made the most of - a really good performance! Pyalyang was outstanding, another young man with a superb voice; singing Jobin’s 'The Girl from Ipanema' he really brought it alive with great diction, mature and musical phrasing and some great use of dynamics.
Freddie performed Handel’s 'Si Tra I Ceppi', another very mature and accomplished performance. Alice performed Schwarz’s 'Popular', this was a really characterful performance - how Alice managed to remember (let alone sing) so many words, at such a pace was staggering! The Boys’ Harmony Ensemble brought the concert to an end singing Sheeran’s 'Shape of You', this is a great arrangement which was performed brilliantly.
My congratulations to all involved.
