King’s is delighted to announce that Callum, a pupil from New House in the L6th Form, has gained a place on the highly competitive Yale Young Global Scholars Programme this summer.
Callum will join students from 126 other countries on this highly respected and ambitious course. The Yale Young Global Scholars course is an academic enrichment and leadership programme that brings together some of the most academically outstanding pupils from around the world for an intensive two-week course at Yale's campus in New Haven. Callum can expect an amazing summer experience studying in Yale’s campus lecture halls and classrooms, living in Yale’s historic residential colleges, eating in award-winning dining halls, and engaging with world-renowned professors and guest speakers. Last year, current King’s Head Girl, Kitty, attended the course and found the experience invaluable and thoroughly enjoyed meeting other students from all around the world.
Dan Cupit, King's Director of Studies commented: ‘I am delighted that Callum has been accepted on to the YYGS programme and I am sure that he will have an incredible time at such an amazing university. Callum will have the opportunity to meet and engage with pupils from all around the world and develop his intellectual curiosity in one of the most prestigious and highly regarded universities in the world. Callum will become the third pupil from King’s to attend this course in the last three years and I am sure that he will find it just as inspiring and stimulating as those who have gone before him. I wish Callum the very best for his adventure and I very much look forward to hearing about his time away when he returns as an U6th Form pupil.’
