The King’s Bruton 35 mile Ten Tors teams completed their second training walk on the Quantocks...

Four seasons in one day saw the two groups set off on a misty and chilly morning, with ice on ponds and visibility reduced. This quickly turned to a fine drizzle before a beautiful December day emerged which made walking a joy and navigation a little easier. The Quantocks were quite stunning and several cadets were keen to return and practice over the Christmas break with their parents in tow! Both groups worked well together and reinforced their navigational skills and team skills honed on Exmoor and in the weekly Ten Tors  Monday activity.

The groups can now return their day sacks in preparation for full packs and the training next term which involves overnight camping and walking from 0630hrs with a full pack!
