A fantastic day, for Classics pupils, bringing the classical world to life...

3rd and 4th Form Classicists enjoyed a trip to Aquae Sulis. The Baths were far more than a place to become clean; Romans used their time here to socialise, conduct business and exercise. Crucially, though, Aquae Sulis was a religious experience as the natural hot spring was believed to have healing powers. In addition to an audio-guided tour, pupils enjoyed an object-handling session taught by expert archaeologists. A fantastic day, bringing the classical world to life!
