Great excitement and lots of cuddles for our Guide Dog, Basil, who visited King's today...
Last year, the King's Bruton community came together to fundraise and support a Guide Dog puppy. Having raised funds to support this fantastic programme, the School was incredibly fortunate to be able to name the Guide Dog puppy. It was lovely to be able to welcome Basil and his puppy raiser to King’s earlier today. Basil was accompanied by another Guide Dog puppy called Ava and her puppy raiser. Basil was an immediate hit amongst both pupils and staff, showing a very playful, yet gentle side. At only 6 months old, Basil had grown significantly since we saw a photo of him as a very young puppy. It was fantastic to hear that Basil is making excellent progress, and that he will soon begin his full training programme. We wish Basil all the very best for his training, and it is great that Basil will, one day, help transform someone’s life.
Our thanks to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association for their fantastic work, and for bringing Basil and Ava to visit.
