BTECs Educational Trips

U6th Form BTEC Hospitality pupils have had an opportunity to visit The Cellar Hand, a local business in Bruton which specialises in selling wine.

George Read (the owner of the shop, and an Old Brutonian), talked the pupils through a variety of wines. Looking at how different regions, climates and grape varieties impact the flavours and attributes of wine. The pupils were able to try a small portion of each of the wines to help them understand the differences between each one. These sessions with George will help pupils complete their Unit on Alcoholic Beverages.

Thank you to The Cellar Hand for providing an informative event, with a fantastic selection of wines.
